Welcome to our FAQ page for CEU Courses for Rehabilitation professionals. We appreciate the fact that you have a choice, and that you've come to us to fulfill your CEU requirements. Below, please find answers to some of our most popular questions, or contact us directly should you have more. We look forward to serving you. 
  • What is a CEU?
    The international definition for a Continuing Education Unit is 10 hours of qualified training which is equivalent to 1.0 CEUs. Thus 1 hour of training is 0.1 CEUs. Some Boards track training in hours of 60 minutes rather than in credits. Motivations CEU is an Accredited CEU Provider for Medical Rehabilitation Professionals and offers Accredited CEU Courses for Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, and CEUs for Occupational Therapists and Athletic Trainers.
  • How many CEUs do physical therapists need?
    Each Physical Therapy State licensing board determines usually a bi-annual amounts ranging from 12-40 CEU credit hours a year. The states practice act or guidelines contains this information. Ask us for details and we can send you the most current information from your Board’s website. Here you can check our catalog for PT CEU courses and PT CEU state accreditations.
  • What is considered a LIVE CEU credit?
    Most states count both in-person continuing education classes and live online CEU courses since there is an opportunity for discussion with the instructor. Some states have limits on how many virtual/self-study CEU hours can be taken. Email us for more information on your state and license.
  • Can I retake the same course for credit?
    We recommend you take different topics unless it has been several years since you took the course previously.
  • Do you report my CEU course credits/hours to states?
    Most state licensing Boards seek confirmation of course completion through CE Broker. If you board is registered with that body, we do report for you. We ask for your license number when registering, to post on your certificate and to assist boards in verification of your CEUs.

  • What approval credentials does Motivations Inc. have for issuing certificates?
    We have obtained national status for accreditation or approved provider recognition by APTA Texas Chapter, US Dept of Education, American Occupational Therapy Association, American Speech Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. Additionally, we have state approvals for physical therapy boards through a number of other sources.
  • How many CEU topics and options do you have?

We have also recorded video webinars to facilitate independent and remote learning, also certified to go towards CEU certificates. We're adding to our topics and library continually.   • What are your cancellation policies?
    Onsite Cancellation Policy: Motivations Inc. reserves the right to cancel a course up to 14 days prior to the course, with full refund, if insufficient numbers of participants have registered for the course. Registrants may cancel up to 14 days prior to the course and transfer their tuition to any Motivations, Inc. course, or receive a full refund. Any cancellations within two weeks prior to the course will receive a refund less $100 for administrative costs. Webinar Cancellation Policy: Motivations Inc. reserves the right to discontinue or reschedule a course from our listing of options. Should youhave already registered, you will receive a full refund. Participants may receive a full refund when requesting cancellation 24 hours prior to thewebinar. After that time, a credit for a future Motivations event may be awarded. Special Needs Requests: Please email us any special needs related to vision, hearing, accessibility or any other considerations to completing the course so we can assist in advance.
