# 120 Dr. Eric Wilson’s M.O.R.E. Course ... Master Orthopedic Rehabilitation Effectively
This course will provide the attendee with the knowledge and hands-on skills to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness for patients with common, yet challenging, musculoskeletal diagnoses. This course maximizes proctored repetitions of hands-on skills upon a foundation built on evidence-based practice. Instead of learning dozens of skills that are not remembered on Monday, this course teaches the most efficient and effective diagnostic and treatment techniques that are repeated throughout the course. This provides the attendee the confidence to immediately apply them with their patients while understanding the “why” and the “when” of application based on the most current peer-reviewed evidence.
While most clinicians get "good" outcomes with these conditions, this course is designed to transform "good" into "best".
Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) will be covered. However, where the CPGs are often vague as to the specific parameters for applying the evidence, this course will dig into the weeds – providing the attendee with the specifics needed to optimize their practice.
Conditions covered will be:
• Chronic Low Back Pain: this is the leading cause of years lived with disability and accounts for more than 264
million lost workdays per year. Even "acute" LBP is "recurrent" in most cases and requires a different focus.
• Cervical Radiculopathy: sometimes difficult to distinguish between this and other conditions that refer symptoms
into the upper extremity. Many primary care providers do not believe this can be effectively treated
conservatively. They are incorrect. Proper differential diagnosis and hands on interventions will be emphasized.
• Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy: Best evidence requires a synthesis of primary pain phenotypes & classification.
• Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis: 7.5% Annual incidence in USA: Hip (7.5%) & Knee (10-13%). Proper conservative treatment can prolong total joint replacement by 5+ years.
An investment in this course, is expected to lead to effective orthopedic rehab results for increased patient recommendations to your practice.
